WELCOME TO A SAFER, SOCIALLY-SPACED, AND RESPONSIBLE URBAN HIVE.

Mask Guidance (updated 06/21/21)

Cal/OSHA has updated their guidance regarding people wearing masks in the workplace.

Effective immediately, in accordance with county and state guidelines, Cal/OSHA recommendations, and CDC guidelines, masks will be optional at The Urban Hive for those who are vaccinated.

We understand that many will continue to choose to wear masks and we encourage you to do what makes you feel safe.

Unvaccinated members and guests are still required by the State to continue to wear masks in our common areas.

For those of you who are employers, you are also required to keep track of the status of all of your workers in the workplace, per Cal/OSHA’s new rules.

We are here for you.

Being here for you means many things. It means being able to continue service to our members who have come to depend upon it. It means staying in business so that we remain here after the madness is over. But, most importantly, it means making sure that we have protocols in place to keep you safe.

A safe space.

Your health, safety, and well-being is paramount to us at The Urban Hive. With this in mind, we have completely redesigned our spaces, policies, procedures, and guidelines to ensure that you can continue to access our community and services. Again, please note that these are subject to change as the situation continues to change without notice.

Online Community.

We know that for many of you a huge part of being a member of The Urban Hive are the amazing connections you make and relationships you build. We get that this is more difficult at 6 feet. With that in mind, we have built a digital platform for the community that will enable you to make those connections, participate in digital events, happy hours, mastermind groups, and workshops online.

Safe Desks.

We have socially spaced all workstations and made desks available to all members. You will be able to book online so that you can always be assured to have a safe, clean space ready for you when you arrive.

Sanctuary Spaces.

For those who want to get away from working from home and would like a clean, private, enclosed space for one, we will have those as well. All members will receive booking credits for the next few months to use for these bookings.

Frequent cleaning and increased sanitization.

Although we have always prided ourselves on the cleanliness of The Urban Hive, we have enhanced all of our cleaning and disinfecting protocols while providing complimentary sanitization products in our spaces. We will continue to develop new standards in alignment with public health and government guidelines.

  • We have dramatically increased cleaning scope and frequency.

  • We have placed hands-free sanitizer dispensers and wipes throughout the space for member use.

  • We have installed nanoseptic touch pads and coverings for all office and meeting room door handles.

  • We have hands-free soap dispensers in all bathrooms.

  • We have provided masks and gloves to our staff for your protection and theirs.

Keep Clean.

Please regularly wash your hands, liberally use our disinfectant, and clean workstations both before and after use.

Be kind. Be gentle. Be Safe.

Please remember that your fellow members and Hive staff all have had different COVID-19 experiences. Some may have lost family, others are struggling to keep their businesses afloat, and some are just dealing with the inevitable sense of missing human interaction. We are social beings, after all. So be kind to one another, including our staff and, yes, even yourself. We are all in this together.
